Hey guys! I just wanted to share a nice little tool I have been using for the past couple of years now that has really upped my hobby speed and efficiency. Have you ever been lost in endless projects or are you the type of person (like me) that works on too many things at one time?
Well, try using a Kanban Board! A kanban board allows you to visualize your projects and create internal barriers to keep yourself focused. However, a kanban has the flexibility to let you break barriers and tackle more projects whenever you're ready.
Here is an example of a kanban in it's most basic form.
Here's an example of my 30k Kanban.
As you can see, I have set my hobby threshold at 3 and have overcommitted by 3. I have put myself in the red, which means I need to hunker down and focus on my In Progress. Because I am in the red, I will not add anything to the in progress tab until I have cleared ALL six items. Once all 6 are clear, I can start moving the next few units over and trying to keep myself in check.
Kanban boards are not for everyone, but if you find yourself overwhelmed with projects, give it a shot! I use them at work as well and my productivity has increased dramatically.
You can of course make your own Kanban with a whiteboard and some sticky notes, or you can use any of the popular kanban websites available. I personally use KanbanFlow which is free and allows you to share your board with friends.

Anyways, I hope you guys give kanban a try!
