SPORTSMANSHIP:
Building a 40K community based on camaraderie and fair-play…
• We support a Fun-First approach to the game.
• Winning isn’t as important as EVERY player at the table having a good time.
• Resolve disputes in a calm, mature, and fair manner.
• Treat every opponent you face with respect, no matter if they are a club member or not. Once you're in the club, you are a representation of the club as a whole.
SHOWCASE ARMIES:
Miniatures and armies modeled and painted with creativity and passion...
• We believe that Warhammer 40K is a complete hobby, and that what we do at the hobby table as important as the game itself (maybe more!).
• The Deathwatch Gaming Club standard is to ONLY field fully painted armies at DGC sponsored events such as Apocalypse Games and DGC Tournaments. note: This does not apply to casual play or club events that have a Hobby Progress Challenge built into them.
• Strive to model and paint an army to be proud of.
• Support and encourage one another in the creative process, (it’s not about award-winning models; it’s about putting out an honest effort to make your army look good on the table).
CINEMATIC PLAY:
We encourage dynamic, story-driven games and scenarios based on an immersive and expanding narrative campaign…
• We think that immersing ourselves in the 40K universe is important to getting the most out of the hobby.
• Games and scenarios should be played with a cinematic flair, with stories and missions that add depth to the game being played.
• The whims of the dice should be relished as a dynamic element of the game.
• Production value is critical: terrain, markers and models are our “set” and “cast”; the higher their quality the better the game with be!
• This is something we strive to achieve. Rome wasn't built in a day!
