For those who are interested, here are the recipes used by Forge World when painting their models.
EMPEROR'S CHILDREN
Purple:
1. Basecoat with Xereus Purple;
2. Wash with Druchii Violet;
3. Layer with thinned 50/50 mix of Xereus Purple and Genestealer Purple;
4. Final layer with 25/75 mix of Xereus Purple and Genestealer Purple.
Gold:
1. Basecoat with Balthasar Gold;
2. Wash with Agrax Earthshade;
3. Highlight with Gehenna’s Gold;
4. Glaze with extremely thinned Druchii Violet.
White:
1. Basecoat with Ceramite White;
2. Glaze with thinned Guilliman Blue;
3. Highlight with White Scar.
DEATH GUARD
Armour
1. Undercoat with Skull White spray;
2. Wash with 50/50 mix of Seraphim Sepia and Lahmian Medium;
3. Highlight with White Scar mixed with Lahmian Medium.
Green
1. Basecoat with Castellan Green;
2. Highlight with 50/50 mix of Castellan Green and Elysian Green;
3. Highlight with Elysian Green.
Brass
1. Basecoat with Warlock Bronze;
2. Highlight with Runelord Brass.
WORLD EATERS
Note: do not glue shoulder pads and backpacks to bodies before undercoating.
Body
1. Undercoat with Skull White spray;
2. Wash with a mix of 25% Drakenhof Nightshade, 25% Nuln Oil, 25% Lahmian Medium and 25% water;
3. Lightly sponge Ceramite White mixed with a little Lahmian Medium to raised surfaces.
Shoulder Pads/Backpack
1. Undercoat with Chaos Black spray;
2. Basecoat with Kantor Blue;
3. Highlight with Teclis Blue mixed with a little Lahmian Medium.
4. Wash with Body stage 2 mix above.
Brass:
1. Basecoat with Sycorax Bronze;
2. Roughly highlight with 50/50 Sycorax Bronze and Runefang Steel
3. Wash with Body stage 2 mix above.
SONS OF HORUS
Green
1. Undercoat with Chaos Black Spray;
2. Basecoat with a mix of 25% Castellan Green, 25% Sotek Green, 25% Dawnstone and 25%Nurgling Green;
3. Wash with Colia Greenshade
4. Repeat stage 2 with 20% more Dawnstone and Sotek Green
5. Repeat stage 4 with 20% more Dawnstone and Sotek Green
6. Wash with thinned Biel Tan Green
7. Repeat stage 6
Gold
1. Basecoat with Runelord Brass;
2. Wash with Agrax Earthshade;
3. Highlight with Runelord Brass in striking motions to create a chipped and weathered appearance.
Silver
1. Basecoat with Leadbelcher;
2. Wash with Nuln Oil;

4. Highlight with Iron Breaker as stage 4.
SALAMANDERS
1. Airbrush with Tamiya Flat Green
2. Blend in a highlight of Loren Forest Green
3. Wash with Lahmian Medium and Biel Tan Green
4. Brass-Warplock Bronze and Runelord Brass
5. Wash with a mix of Aggrax Earth Shade and Seradhim Sepia (50/50)
6. Shade-Druchi Violet
7. Edge Highlight-Runelord Brass/Runefang Steel
NIGHT LORDS
1. The models were undercoated with GW Black Spray.
2. The models were dry brushed with rub and buff pewter, bringing the black undercoat up to a silver color.
3. Tamiya Clear Blue and Clear Red were mixed together to make a clear purple which was applied over the whole model in 3-4 very thin coats.
4. Once the model had dried, the whole thing was airbrushed with a layer of Auto Air Color Transparent Blue.
5. The lightning strikes were painted on with Administratum Grey as a base coat. Then were the lightning strikes meet, it was highlighted with white.
6. Once the model had dried, it was protected with a coating of GW Purity Seal.
IRON HANDS
1. Undercoat the model with GW black undercoat spray
2. Drybrush layers of rub and buff pewter to blend up from black to silver. with the silver parts being the most raised areas.
3. A small amount of Tamiya clear yellow was added to Tamiya smoke and this was airbrushed over the whole model and the model was then left to dry.
4. GW Druchi Violet was then airbrushed over the model in random patches.
5. Tamiya clear green was then airbrushed in patches over the previous two colors.
6. The whole model was airbrushed with a layer of thinned down Tamiya smoke and the model was then left to dry.
7. The model was then protected with a coating of GW Purity Seal.

Word Bearer Ashen Circle (grey scheme)
1. Undercoat with GW chaos black spray
2. Basecoat with Tamiya German Grey applied with an airbrush.
3. The first highlight uses medium grey added to the german grey and applied with an airbrush.
4. The second highlight on the edges of the armor uses the first highlight mix, with some light grey added to it to make the highlight color. This was applied with an airbrush.
5. The bronze/gold areas were base coated in Balthasar Gold and highlighted with Gehenna Gold
6. The silver areas were base coated with Leadbelcher and then highlighted with Rungfang Steel
7. The whole model was washed with a watered down 50/50 mix of Abaddon Black and Slaanesh Grey
8. The grey areas were then highlighted firstly with Slaanesh Grey and then final Highlight of Slaanesh Grey and White Scar
9. The bronze gold areas were highlighted with Gehenna Gold
10. The silvers areas were highlighted with Runefang Steel
Kor Phaeron
Basecoat
1. Stormvermin Fur, White Scar and karak stone mix
2. Highlight with more Karak Stone
3. Highlight with more White Scar
4. Shade with Abaddon Black, Rhinox Hide and Lahmian Medium Mix
Erebus
1. Basecoat of Wazdakka Red
2. Highlight with Evil Sunz Scarlet
3. Highlight with Ratskin Flesh
4. Wash of Carroburg Crimson
5. Glaze of Bloodletter Red
ALPHA LEGION
1. Airbrush with thinned Lead Belcher/Iron Breaker (50/50 mix)
2. Airbrush from top of model with thinned Runefang Steel
3. Mix a little Tamiya clear green with Tamiya clear blue (25/75 mix) and airbrush over the model in 2 coats
4. Airbrush armor panels with Tamiya clear blue. Blending from middle of figure down, so the strongest blue color is at the bottom of the pannels
5. Airbrush from the middle upwards with Tamiya clear green
6. Using an airbrush blend a highlight on the highest panels (head, shoulder pads, top of backpack) with runefang steel with a tiny amount of Lothern Blue, extremely thinned down.
7.Apply thinned coat of Tamiya clear blue over the highlight and blend into the surrounding area.
8. Using a blue glaze, drag down the whole model allowing it to settle in the deepest areas.
Silver
1. Basecoat with Leadbelcher
2. Wash with Nuln Oil
3. Highlight with Leadbelcher in striking motions to created chipped and weather appearance
4. Highlight with Ironbreaker
Edit - a quick word of warning: wear a good quality mask when spraying Tamiya clear, especially with their thinners.
IRON WARRIORS
1. Airbrush with thinned Leadbelcher/ Iron Breaker (50/50 mix)
2. Airbrush from top of model with thinned Runefang Steel
3. Apply a coat of Purity Seal
4. Wash with thinned Agrax Earthshade
5. Dot random spots of Burnt Umber oil paint over the model and then flood the model with downward strokes of pure white spirit, so that the oil paint almost completely runs off the model, but still tints it and stays in the crevices.
Yellow Chevrons
1. Paint with Averland Sunset base, then over paint with Yriel Highlight with Flashgit Yellow.
2. Glaze with Casandora Yellow and then when this is dry wash with Agrax
3. Apply Burnt Umber oil paint in same way as part 5 above.
IMPERIAL FISTS
1. Paint with averland sunset base, then over paint with Yriel Yellow.
2. Highlight with Flashgit Yellow.
3. Glaze with Casandora Yellow and then when this is dry wash with Agrax Earthshade

RAVEN GUARD
1. Spray the model black

3. Add some mechanicus standard grey to the Stormvermin Fur and blend in the this highlight
4. Line highlight the very top panel lines with pure Mechanicus Standard Grey

3. Wash with Tamiya Clear Red
