Alcon,
The Tanksgiving challenge for 2016 is to paint a SGT, Elite or Hero with a weapon that can damage or kill a tank. No HQs. This is for that SGT, Veteran or squad leader who can beat tanks down to stand proud. Get some extra attention, paint and a good base.
- No HQs
- No less than 3 colors
- Base must be a playable base (this is for your army, not just a painting competition)
- Base must be finished with at least two types of basing material
- You must have painted it. Do not enter any models painted by someone else.
The judging will take place at the Colleyville Warhammer shop. As soon as I get a time and date I will post it. I am tentative looking at 1pm on the 26th.
*Special Note - I understand there are armies without a SGT or a model that meets these requirements. That is fine and understandable, just use an appropriate model that can damage a tank. For example, the new Genestealer Cults use one of the Aberrants with a hammer. That model is awesome. For myself, I will be painting a Thunderwolf pack leader (SGT) with thunderhammer.
Future events:
Every month or couple of months I will hold a painting challenge for the club. We will be going through the entire army list, HQs, Elites, Troops, Fast Attacks and Heavies. We will also have multiple categories soon. You will be able to enter one of all of them if you want. You also will not have to be present to win, but you will have to have your model present. Just hand it to a friend to have at the judging.
