Breacher Orion clipped another ammunition capsule for his meltagun onto his belt. Sergeant Anatos checked him and nodded. As he walked away to check the rest of the squad Orion's ceramite encased hand clasped onto his shoulder.
"A moment sergeant."
"What is it brother?"
"Do you know...where he comes from?" Replied the breacher. Anatos knew of whom he spoke. They both turned to look at a figure standing on the other side of the bay. In his left arm he hefted the same gold shield as the rest of the breachers and in his right a phoenix spear with a glistening black blade.
"Apothecary Rulthan said that he was brought to the fleet by Ancient Rylanor himself," said the Sergeant.
"By Ry...then he fought on Istvaan Three?" Exclaimed Orion.
Anatos nodded. "Yet we still do not know his name. If the ancient knows he has chosen not to reveal it to us."
"Sergeant. He approaches." Crimson robes flowed around the legs of the loyalist survivor as if he were wading in blood.
A rumbling voice echoed from the archaic faceplate of the man's artificer armour. "Are the men prepared sergeant?"
The two breachers stood at attention and saluted. "Yes Delagatus," replied Sergeant Anatos.
"Then have them deployed to a Caestus immediately. A traitor ship has been spotted on the far side of the system and I mean to end them."
"At once Delagatus." The consul turned and walked swiftly toward the exit of the bay. "Sir!" said Anatos after a moment. The Delagatus turned, studying the two men through the nine dark holes in his helmet. "How will you be deploying to the enemy ship?"
His head cocked to the side as if confused. "Boarding torpedo of course. Now move out!"
"Yes Sir!" Shouted Orion and Anatos in unison as they hustled to join the rest of their squad.
