I'd rather our club not just represent selfish/gaming interests. With that in mind I'd like to suggest a local tournament we hold every June and December and incorporate a canned food drive for local food banks/homeless shelters. I'm going tomorrow to meet with two to figure out what they need the most but I'd like to make the format a 40k tournament at 1500pts and have entry at 1-10 cans of food then have an incentive of 10 cans netting you 75 more points, 20 cans netting you 150 more points, and 30 cans netting you 225 more points. That way we could increase the amount of local tournaments and make an impact(however little) toward the local community. Thoughts?

An annual charity event is a part of our charter and was discussed at our annual meeting. This does not mean of course that we cannot also do more.
